MEET HEIDI

Heidi Overman, LMT

Certified Integrative Health Coach

Hi, I'm Heidi Overman—Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Integrative Health Coach, educator, and founder of Empty Cup Wellness.

My path to wellness began long before I became a health professional. It started with a lifetime of movement, curiosity, and a deep respect for the body’s remarkable ability to heal and adapt.

Growing up in Wisconsin, I spent much of my childhood dancing, training, and competing in ballet, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, swimming, track and field, and weight training. I also grew up helping in my family’s garden, where I learned early lessons about nourishment, seasonal living, and the connection between food and health. Looking back, these experiences planted the seeds for the work I do today.

After completing more than 900 hours of Massage Therapy and Health Wellness training at the National Holistic Institute in Sonoma County, I began helping clients address a wide range of concerns—from chronic pain and injury recovery to stress-related tension, mobility limitations, and sleepless nights.

My therapeutic work draws from both Eastern and Western approaches to wellness and includes modalities such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Cupping, Shiatsu, and energy-based techniques. By combining an understanding of anatomy, body mechanics, and energetic balance, I tailor each session to support every client's unique needs and goals.

Over the years, I discovered that many clients needed more than symptom relief. They wanted to understand why they felt the way they did.

They wanted practical tools to improve their health, prevent future problems, and remain active and independent as they aged.

That realization inspired me to expand my practice beyond massage therapy.

As a Certified Integrative Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, with advanced training in Gut Health, I help clients navigate health, lifestyle, and nutrition challenges with realistic, sustainable strategies. I have a special interest in supporting individuals managing inflammation, digestive concerns, stress-related conditions, and healthy aging.

But perhaps my greatest education has come from spending more than a decade listening to clients' stories.

Working closely with adults and seniors has given me a front-row seat to the challenges many people face as they age—changes in mobility, balance, strength, energy, and confidence. Again and again, I heard the same questions:

"How do I age well?"

"What should I be doing now to stay healthy later?"

"Where do I even begin?"

These conversations became the inspiration behind Empty Cup Wellness and the development of the Empty Cup Functional Aging Method™—a whole-person approach to helping people move better, feel better, and live with greater intention.

My wellness philosophy is simple: Lasting change doesn't happen through perfection—it happens through small, intentional choices repeated consistently over time.

Whether through therapeutic massage, health coaching, classes, or community, my mission is to empower people to reclaim their health, their habits, their bodies, and their lives.

Because when we slow down, listen to what our bodies are telling us, and intentionally refill our cup, we create the foundation for lifelong wellness.

I'm honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

Let’s embark on this journey together—to build strength, restore balance, and create a life that feels authentic, energized, and well.
